Jess Clouthier

Jess Clothier is the lead graphic designer for the Pontiac Journal; he has worked in the newspaper industry for over 10 years, and has been with the Journal since 2008.

Jess works with the sales team to create eye-catching display advertising for the Journal’s business clients. He is also responsible for creative changes to the overall look of the paper; examples include a new masthead for the front page and the creation of each issue’s special promotional features. His other responsibilities are preparing the electronic flies for printing the paper and uploading each issue’s news to the website. In 2012 he was part of the team that won the Quebec Community Newspaper Award for Best Feature Page, on the Shawville Fair.

Jess is proud of his part in creating the connection the Journal has with its readers throughout the Pontiac.

Bonnie Zimmerling

Bonnie Zimmerling began working for the Journal du Pontiac in 2007, as an assistant to the production manager. Now, Bonnie works with both the French and English editors and is responsible for the layout of the news stories in the paper.

Bonnie is an excellent photographer and her photos are often used, particularly for covers of special sections.

Bonnie lives in Shawville and is very involved in her community; she is on the Governing Board for Pontiac High School and is a member of the Pontiac Artists Association, where she is the registrar for the Pontiac School of the Arts.
