PONTIAC ARTISTS HIGHLIGHTED DURING STUDIO TOUR – Twelve artists participated in the 28th annual Pontiac Artists’ Studio Tour, which began June 10 and ended June 18. Since the tour began in 1990, a total of 58 artists have participated. The Tour offers the public a unique opportunity, over two weekends each June, to view works of professional artists where they work and to enjoy Pontiac’s picturesque countryside while driving between studios. OLD BASTARDS SHOW AND SHINE – The Old Bastards Vintage Motorcycle Club held its eleventh annual Show and Shine Bike Show at the Ladysmith Hotel in Thorne, June 11. About 65 bikes registered for the event. The club not only brings bikers and friends together; it also raises money for several worthy charities. Members of the Club first got together in Old Bastard Township in Ontario.

A new play structure for Bryson - The Bryson RA held an inauguration and ribbon-cutting ceremony for their new play structure, June 18, during their annual baseball tournament. After raising funds for the structure for about two years, it was recently installed with the help of local residents and businesses. “It's great to finally complete this project and move on to our new goal of fixing the skating rink. The boards, the base, and the building all need major repairs,” said Julie Ryan, RA President.
