Join the Pontiac #Try Like Terry challenge! - MRC PONTIAC:  In 1980, Terry Fox's Marathon of Hope covered 5,373 km in 143 days. Pontiac’s Terry Fox committee decided to add something more to the One Day! Your Way! Virtual Run organized by the Terry Fox Foundation, scheduled for September 20; Pontiac #Try Like Terry! will match Terry's distance and raise money for cancer research. 
    Until September 30, participants are asked to set a personal challenge
for any kind of exercise, record their weekly distance and be part of the team Pontiac #Try Like Terry!

SHAWVILLE – You know you’ve made an impression when you get a mention by Rick Mercer on CBC television. According to James Sally that happened for the Flying Elbows Tournament a few years ago as another puck dropped on March 21 for the 14th edition of the Flying Elbows at the Shawville arena. FORT-COULONGE – On March 12, the Filles d’Isabelle, chapter 1293, presented its 3rd annual fashion show at the St-Pierre Parish Hall to a sold out crowd of 200 women. Mona Davis emceed most of the event that featured 27 women between the ages of 15 and 74 years old modelling a total of 44 changes of spring fashions from the Shawville / Clarendon stores of Boutique Gwendoline, Shawville Shoe, and Giant Tiger, as well as the Pembroke Mall stores of Ricki’s, Pennington’s, and Alia. read more »
