On December 8, Bouffe Pontiac volunteers and partners will be at these intersections to collect your generous donations: in Campbell’s Bay from 6:00 to 9:00 a.m., at the intersection of Hwy 148 & Hwy 301 North; in Shawville from 6:30 to 9:00 a.m., at the intersections of Main & Centre and the intersection of Main & Clarendon; and in L’Isle-aux-Allumettes from 6:00 to 9:00 a.m., at the intersection of Hwy 148 and Pembroke Road.
Bouffe Pontiac will accept food, new toys and monetary donations that will enable them to distribute 200 Christmas baskets to Pontiac households in need.
“We ask everyone to give generously and more importantly, to drive
carefully for the safety of our volunteers and for everyone at these intersections,” said Bouffe Director General, Ellen Boucher. Last year’s food drive collected $8,003 and 516 kilograms of food.
Bouffe Pontiac, located in Campbell’s Bay, was officially opened on June 13, 2006.
This year marks the ninth edition of the food drive, which began in 2008.
