MRC PONTIAC – The MRC Pontiac, though the provincial Regions and Rurality Fund – Component 2, is
calling on local organizations to apply for the $416,632 it has available to help fund sustainable development projects aimed at improving living environments and the quality of life of citizens.
Last year, about $427,000 was awarded through the funding stream for 13 projects like renovating
the Municipality of Alleyn and Cawood’s library/conference room, Campbell’s Bay park development, work on the Shawville arena flooring, infrastructure for people with disabilities at the Bryson RA, Phare Ouest’s Marchand Bridge illumination project, and more.
The call for projects was launched August 16 and non-profit organizations, cooperatives, band councils of
aboriginal communities and municipalities interested in applying can contact the MRC Pontiac’s economic development department to schedule an appointment: by phone at (819) 648-5689 Ext.134 or by e-mail at c.phillips@mrcpontiac.qc.ca. The deadline to apply is September 15, 2021 at noon.
Those interested in submitting a proposal must meet with an economic development commissioner between now and September 14, 2021.
