MRC PONTIAC – The MRC Pontiac announced on November 22 that Danielle Newman, their Director of Economic Development, will be leaving her position as of January 10, 2020, just over a year after she was hired.
Newman cited personal reasons for leaving a function she said she continues to feel passionate about.
“During this transition period, I will do all I can to make sure the department sustains the positive momentum we’ve created. I hope to continue contributing to the development of the Pontiac by becoming more involved in the
community after my departure from the MRC,” she told her colleagues.
The hiring process is already underway and the MRC has requested the help of staffing experts from the Fédération québécoise des municipalités (FQM).
During her short tenure, Newman’s accomplishments included restructuring several internal processes for maximum efficiency, and maintaining and launching new economic development projects.
