Some time ago, the Journal published a letter asking why candidates for elections wait until the very last moment before announcing themselves. Why are they so bureaucratic that they wait until the election campaign is officially underway – leaving the voters a minimum time to figure out what issues we will support – and what candidates are promising them.

This does not help voters – the people!
We already know who the Liberal and Conservative candidates are – because they told us! Why can’t the other parties – the Greens, NDP, and the smaller parties – do
the same and give the public time to really look into who would represent us best? The Greens have a real chance this time, so why this silence?
