Voting in the upcoming municipal election is of fundamental importance for the future of our community in the Pontiac. It’s a democratic necessity, which is indispensable in order to bring about the changes that citizens desire for the Municipality. Now is the time to voice our opinions, for we all have them, and to stand up for our point of view.

More than ever, there is a need  for increased transparency, openness, honesty and integrity from our municipal governments. Citizens must make their desire to be more involved in the decisions that affect them clear to all  candidates.
Therefore, each of us must vote; not out of political ideology or duty, but for the good of the community within which we live. By casting a vote, we are making a choice, and we are expressing the need to improve the community and the lives of those within the community.
Unfortunately, too many believe that one vote won’t make a difference, but it does. In the Municipality of Pontiac, recent history has shown that candidates are elected with margins of not thousands or hundreds of votes, but more likely by dozens. So yes, each vote counts.
As November 3rd approaches, I want to strongly encourage the citizens of the Municipality of Pontiac to take the time and to join me in casting their votes. Together, we can make a difference.
