Disrespectful trappers

I am not opposed to trapping. But, when my dog is snared while going under a fence on our property, by a snare placed by any unidentified individual, then I’m furious!

This letter is to you, disrespectful trapper. You did not ask me if I was OK with your activity on my property, and I really am not. I will be taking all the snares and other trapping devices found on my property. If you would like them back, please come speak with me so I can tell you to your face that your activities give trappers a bad name.
Respectful trappers honour these rules among others: traps should never be set where cats and dogs or other domestic animals may get caught; and the land owner’s permission must be obtained in writing before trapping on any private land.
So for the trapper, or poacher, who has hung his or her snares along my fence line on Mohr Road between the 5th concession and River Road, kindly remove them and repair the bottom strand of my fence which you snipped for the convenience of your activity.
