Drastic actions needed

Pontiac residents are facing the brutal and unjustified actions of CISSSO. The four most egregious of these are: refusal to install a dialysis machine despite the fact that residents have raised the money to purchase the machine; the closure of Pavilion du Parc; the mis-management of health services in MRC Pontiac; and threatened installation of parking meters at our local hospital.

As CISSSO officials are deaf to the negative effects of these actions, I would like to make the following proposal. Pontiac residents who have to make some form of payments to the Quebec government put the money in an escrow account to be held there until the Quebec government addresses the health services issues in the Pontiac.
I realize those who are dependent on some form of funds from Quebec (such as pensions, social assistance, educational allowances and other salaries) may not be able to participate in such an action, as the government will simply withhold payments due to them. However, if merchants withheld sales tax and individuals withheld income tax payments where possible, the Quebec government would be forced to act. This action may be deemed drastic by some, but we are facing a drastic situation.
