Election afterthought

And the election 2015 is over. I should be excited, for the ‘Magician’ is out, but why do I have this bitter-sweet taste in the aftermath of this particular ‘victory’?

I ask, did our Democracy find a good leader for our future? Only the time will tell. We did lose a chance to lead our country, and by that the world, as an example in cooperation, but we were seduced by our ‘anti-Harper’ sentiments and responded to his manipulation with our own manipulation.
By this we may have lost a number of dedicated politicians who would be an asset to us and our future, from all ranks of the political spectrum. It is a kind of bitter-sweet lesson to engage in the wrong cooperation in response to one leader with his own self-serving
motivations, and who consequently admitted and assumed his responsibility for the loss of  ‘his’ party.
Maybe we all have more to learn about democracy.
