L’ISLE-AUX-ALLUMETTES – West Pontiac Connects has received a contribution of $121,903 from Service Canada under the Youth Employment Strategy, to operate a 21 week skills upgrade project.
The first thirteen weeks of this project will focus on the eight participants’ work and life skills development. During this time, the participants will also earn certificates in First Aid/CPR Level C, Smart Serve, Customer Service Excellence and Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS).
During the last eight weeks of the program (June 02 – July 25), the participants will be employed full-time by area businesses. Any employers that wish to be involved in the eight week Work Experience section of this project should contact Keith Wilson at West Pontiac Connects (819-689-2878).
