After spreading alarm across the province, three boys and one girl, aged 16 and 17, from Wakefield, Chelsea and L’Ange-Gardien, now find themselves facing the consequences. Arrested by the Sûreté du Québec, they appeared in a Gatineau courtroom on November 4th to face mischief charges in connection with bomb threats to schools.
The Sûreté du Québec has enough information
to link these individuals
to the bomb threats
to schools across the province on November 3rd. Consequently, on November 4, new charges were laid against the teenagers: conspiracy, threats and false
messages.
The police inquiry is still underway and could lead to more arrests. The Sûreté du Québec highlights that no packages were found within the establishments.
Parents or students who wish to obtain more information regarding their school should
contact their school board or their institution. (LRC)
