HIGH WATER, HIGH SPIRITS AT QUYON GAMES NIGHT — The Quyon Community Association delivered an evening of laughter and friendly competition April 18, proving high water couldn’t dampen community spirit.

Originally planned for the Quyon Community Centre, the event was moved to the Quyon Legion after rising floodwaters covered the community centre’s parking lot. The change of venue did little to slow things down, as nine teams of four—ranging in age from 25 to 75—gathered for a lively night.

Participants competed in 10 creative, fast-paced challenges, including giant Jenga, basketball and golf skills, and a tricky task requiring players to stack and unstack red Solo cups using only chopsticks. One standout challenge had teams race to eat a sleeve of crackers, drink a juice box and complete a puzzle featuring a photo of Quyon within 10 minutes.

Referees Brenda Clarke, Lindsay Hamilton, Christopher Provost, Melanie McCann and Laura Stewart kept things running smoothly while adding to the fun.

Teams paused at halftime for snacks before returning to competition. Door prizes were awarded and winners announced.
