Recently at the monthly meeting of Thorne council, a request for a donation to Canada’s 150th celebrations put on by the TCRA in Ladymsith on July 1 was refused. Council decided not to hold their own 150th celebration and instead donated $1,000 to the Otter Lake 150th celebrations.
