High speed internet access – a handicap for the Pontiac

Even if the Pontiac riding is located less than a 100 km from the National Capital, parts of it still don’t have access to high-speed internet. The absence of high-speed internet access is impeding economic development in many parts of the riding and preventing businesses from being truly competitive.

What is the Conservative government doing to ensure that regions in the Pontiac will get access to a high-speed wireless network, soon?
The absence of high-speed internet access doesn’t only affect businesses, but also the citizens. Most government departments have been ordered to      redirect citizens toward online services rather than offering an in-person service or sending documents and forms by mail. The fact that portions of my riding don’t have access to high-speed internet is truly a handicap for my constituents and local businesses.
