Justice for Joyce

As a Quebecer, I am appalled by the treatment of Joyce Echaquan and the awful death she suffered at the Joliette hospital. This is a tragedy that is a direct result of racism, made worse by the racial slurs she heard in her dying moments from people who should have been caring for her.

I have since learned that the Joliette hospital is known for its racism. If this isn’t a demonstration of systemic racism in Québec, I don’t know what is.
Shame on the hospital and the nurses involved. But it’s not enough to fire a
couple of nurses; the government must address racism everywhere in Québec.
It’s up to you to provide Justice for Joyce!
