FORT-COULONGE – The annual general meeting of L’EntourElle was held on June 20 at their office in Fort-Coulonge. About ten people attended and discussed the organization’s achievements and its plans.
During the past year (2021-22), L’EntourElle housed 29 women and 29 children with an average stay of 50 days.
The staff responded to more than 380 telephone intervention calls and made more than 2,382 individual interventions in the home environment.
“In 2022–23, L’EntourElle will be celebrating 35 years of service for victims of domestic violence in the Pontiac; women and children. We hope to maintain our existing services and have plans for new projects this year in prevention and awareness as well as for older women in the area,” said Ashley Nadeau, Clinical Manager and Coordinator services of the L’EntourElle.
“We offer both internal and external services. Internally: accommodation, workshops, recovery of women’s belongings, security, respite, parental assistance, and accompaniment. Externally: post-housing follow-up, external follow-up, prevention and awareness in the community and accompaniment. All these services are free of charge,” she added.
