Make graduation parades an annual event!

During this difficult time, when it looked like local high school graduates would be “robbed” of their well deserved celebrations, PHS administration, teachers and many other supporters rallied together to create a “graduation parade” around Shawville. What a heartwarming event not only for the graduates, but for the entire population of our small community!

For those of us that don’t necessarily know these young people, because our own children graduated many years ago, it was particularly nice to have the chance to see these young women and men smiling and waving proudly as they were driven around town. What a great group of young people, ready to embark on the next stage in their lives.
Kudos to the organizers! And, let’s make this an annual tradition; share the pride and excitement of our graduates with the entire community.
