More to justice than punishment

I found a lot to digest in Allyson Beauregard’s editorial titled ‘There is more to justice then punishment’ (29-09-2016). We seldom think of such concepts, and we should pay a lot more attention to our understanding of them.

The editor touched only two aspects coming from Angela Davis’ book, and in time we as a society will expand to the next stage of … of course, the multiplicity. It has existed since communication between humans started. But this time we will engage it in the process of becoming more ‘just and justice’ oriented.
I would like to add my experience with this year’s abundance of apples on my trees. Normally I would just do composting with them, but this year I picked those fallen apples and the result is so far about a half a dozen jars of tasty and good pure juice for my benefit. It takes some work and with some practical observations from apple growers, this could work even wider.
Good work on the editorial! West Quebec, good and smart.
