CAMPBELL’S BAY – The MRC held a special meeting on March 10 to award contracts for waste management and property assessment in the Pontiac area. Two tenders were chosen for each domain with Tom Orr Cartage Construction awarded
the waste management
contract and Servitech
the property assessment
contract.  Both contracts were chosen unanimously.
Tom Orr Cartage was given a three year contract and Servitech a five year contract; they were selected based on expertise and competitive pricing.
Mayors were then informed of several administrative issues that are handled by the MRC, including a request to repair two bridges at Bell Lake, a request concerning forestry and the adoption of regulations concerning its use and exploitation.
The next regular MRC meeting took place March 24, after the Journal’s press deadline; watch
the April 8th issue for a summary.
