OTTER LAKE – The municipality will be holding a by-election after
former mayor, Graham Hawley, resigned and relocated out of the province to pursue
personal interests. Jacques Gauthier is currently
acting as pro-mayor. Council Seat 5 will also
be up for election after

OTTER LAKE – The municipality will be holding a by-election after
former mayor, Graham Hawley, resigned and relocated out of the province to pursue
personal interests. Jacques Gauthier is currently
acting as pro-mayor. Council Seat 5 will also
be up for election after
former councillor Claude Piché relinquished his seat to run for mayor.
Voting will take place on Sunday, November 8 with the advance polls to be held on Sunday, November 1. The polls will be located at the Otter Lake Municipal Hall at 15 Palmer Street.
Claude Piché and
Kim Cartier are the two candidates on the docket for mayor while Marc Laurin, Yvan Leblanc, William (Billy) Racine, and Frank Renault are running for Seat 5.
An all-candidates debate is scheduled for October 26, 7:00 PM, at the Otter Lake Municipal Hall.
