Over to you, Mr Amos

Last week I was surprised to see that the Journal published MP Will Amos’ throw-away piece as a letter to its readers. His letter is completely empty! It repeats what we’ve heard hundreds of times so far, praising his own government for its reaction to the pandemic. I believe he had someone on his staff write this, not him.

It repeats what we’ve heard hundreds of times so far, praising his own government for its reaction to the pandemic. I believe he had someone on his staff write this, not him. Mr Amos is a lawyer, well known for his environmental work, so why aren’t we hearing from him directly?
However, I then read the letter right above it on page 23, from the heads of
the French and English newspaper associations – asking the federal government (attention Mr Amos!) to put the money it has been promising into reality. Can Mr Amos explain or even fix the delay? Is this happening in other sectors
in the recovery program, too?
Lastly, I would read a regular column by our MP (maybe alternating with our MNA) in which they explain new initiatives, etc – just not the public relations!
