CAMPBELL’S BAY – The SADC Pontiac, in collaboration with Emploi Quebec, hosted a job fair at the RA Hall, May 10. Visitors had the opportunity to visit over 20 kiosks, which included local businesses and organizations, the Canadian Armed Forces, education institutions, and Pontiac en Outaouais.
According to Laurel Lebrun, SADC Project Advisor, the main goal of the event was to help residents find employment. “It gave Pontiac residents looking for work a chance to discover the possibilities; the different employment options available as well as learn about new training offers. It was also a perfect time for job seekers to bring their resumés and meet with potential employers face to face,” she added.
Lebrun said the SADC was very pleased with the event’s turnout, especially when there were other local events taking place at the same time as well as the
various flooding issues. Close to 130 visitors attended the event.
