All political parties sing from the same song book. It goes like this: “We must help seniors stay in their homes”. Great idea, but when does the help arrive?

I am an 82 year old disabled senior. I am not able to get on the roof to find out where it is leaking, clean the eaves trough, shovel the roof, etc. I know I’m not alone. I have paid my dues for 60 years through my taxes, like many other seniors, so it’s time for the government to help us out. If you want change, you must join our cause. It can only happen with your help.
The CLSC is a provincial responsibility and the nurses both at the hospital and on the road are second to none. It’s under MNA Andre Fortin’s guidance. We all know “George the fixer”; you have called him about your problems, he
listens and tells you you’re not alone, and says he is trying to find ways to help us.
I don’t know anyone who has been helped. Does anyone in the Shawville, Quyon, and Luskville corridor?
I have spoken with mayor Roger Larose who agrees. He asks other mayors to join with him and arrange a meeting with Mr. Fortin.
It’s your chance to make a change. Call your mayors, councillors, friends, etc. If we pull together, change will come. It’s up to you. The train is leaving the station; if you want change, get on board!
