In reply; first, carbon dioxide is not "global warming pollution", it’s plant food. Many studies show that our planet has been greening over the past 200 years thanks to the increase in carbon dioxide. CO2 levels have been higher over thousands of years past without human intervention.

Ms Fletcher states Canadians have to "commit to reach net-zero greenhouse-gas emissions by 2050", a statement which is simply fear mongering. What it actually means is removing, or not producing, carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, which is only .04%, and the majority of the remainder is water vapour.
Ms Fletcher wants all oil and gas projects stopped in our western provinces; however Quebec has already refused to allow an oil pipeline across the province, yet approved a $10 billion gas pipeline to the eastern provinces, and our Prime Minister recently approved oil and gas exploratory drilling off the Newfoundland and Labrador coast by the Chinese. What hypocrisy!
Economically, one must think where our province would be without the $13 billion dollar equalization payments (mostly from Alberta’s petrol dollars.) If belief persists that humans are responsible for "climate change" then it must be asked of each individual what changes have taken place in their energy consumption (oil, gas, electricity)? What foods do they grow themselves?  Any? How many trees have they planted? Any? What are they doing to clean up the planet using the 3 R’s?
To be credible, and this is verifiable, we are doing all of the above. And what would our lives be like if not for all of the products we use that are made from oil?
