Our government has a vested interest in Quebec. Federal transfers to our province have increased exponentially since our Conservative government has been in office – Quebec will receive close to             20 billion dollars in transfers this year alone. If you look at the federal cabinet’s composition, Quebec is well represented with four senior cabinet members
Part of Mr. Ravignat’s mandate is to ensure that information flows to the          residents of our riding – federal grants, tax credits, or policy updates of benefit to our residents. This information has not flowed from the office of Mr. Ravignat to our region in an efficient manner. If you don’t apply for these programs, you don’t receive the support they offer – and you can’t apply if you don’t know these funds exist. Mr. Ravignat has dropped the ball on this and our community groups are paying the price.
Since announcing my candidacy for the Conservative Party nomination for Pontiac, what I keep hearing is a desire for job       creation and to keep federal taxes low. The Conservative Party of Canada is the only federal party that is committed to keeping federal taxes low – to foster growth and job creation.
