SHAWVILLE – The Pontiac Juniors hit the ice, October 11, for their home opening game. In the first half of the game, the team pulled ahead with a three goal lead, but ended up      losing to Perth with a score 6-4.
“It’s disappointing for sure,” said Team President, Ryan Barber. “We feel we should have won, but it’s our fault, no question.”
The next day, the team played in Maniwaki, with over 350 people attending the game. The play of the previous night seemed to have carried over, according to Barber. The Juniors ended up down 3 goals and never      recovered, resulting in another loss.
Barber, along with Coach Chris Byrne, have returned for their third season. After two years of missing the playoffs, the ultimate goal for the team is making them this season. “We are committed to winning. The players will not be given   anything, they earn their ice time,” added Barber.
