I am shocked, but not surprised, that Quebec’s language police would pick on the Pontiac Journal. What newspaper is more bilingual? Oh I get it, the
separatists don’t want bilingualism. The Pontiac is just that – a place where French and English get along, where conversations switch from one language to another, and where we understand its not easy for all of us, both French and English, to learn another language.
We don’t need nitpicking, separatist, language police in the Pontiac or
anywhere else in Quebec. Let’s not
forget that Quebec is a part of Canada – a multi-cultural society from ocean to ocean.
Is there not one politician, federal or provincial, that has the backbone to stand up to these separatists? Furthermore, it’s time people tell the language police where to go.
