Over the past 6 months or so, we have been hearing an increasing number of rumours that money raised by The Pontiac Community Hospital Foundation (PCH) goes to the CISSSO Foundation in Gatineau. At a recent meeting between the PCH and Pontiac Voice, it was brought to our attention that a number of Pontiac
residents have expressed concern that “their” money is going to Gatineau. We also hear these rumours on the street, at the grocery store or just chatting with friends. It’s imperative that we, as a Foundation, acknowledge these concerns. As a donor, you have every right to voice your concerns and we want to hear them.
I can assure you that all money raised by The Foundation does, in fact, stay here in the Pontiac and is re-invested in health care services. Whether it’s a donation to the Dialysis Project, a fundraiser for Cataract Surgery, or simply a donation to help
support the continued efforts of the Foundation, it all stays here.
