Thoughts from home

All of us need gratitude to help put things in perspective. We are living in scary times, but in a country that is a blessing. Think of your parents/grandparents who suffered world wars followed by economic depressions with few comforts.

While we are social distancing in our homes, we still have power, heat, water, groceries, televisions and electronics to entertain us, phones to contact folks and check in on them, a chance to get outside since we don’t live in a dense population, and an amazing medical system with care and medicine available. People who need on-going treatments are still getting them.
I can go on, but YOU need to continue thinking of all our blessings. I didn’t
mention all the financial help our provincial and federal governments are providing and all of the help our region’s amazing volunteers are providing to deliver items in need to homes. We ARE blessed!
Please, switch your brain from the negative and look for the positive! We can do this and hopefully learn from it. Hang in there, and don’t simply self-isolate for two weeks, as this is not over. Think six weeks and if it clears early, it’s another blessing!
In it with you,
