Tips for tailgaters

I would like to say how much I agree with and support Rachelle Lapointe’s comments on tailgaters in the  February 14th issue. Do these tailgating idiots not remember their Highway Code, to keep a certain distance between you and the vehicle in front of you? Of course they do, but they are just too ignorant and aggressive to care.

Okay you maybe you are on your way somewhere and have to be there at a certain time. You may come up behind a slow poke. Just smile, be patient, listen to your radio, stay back, and when it’s safe and legal to pass then do so, that way everybody’s happy and safer. Always allow yourself at least 15 minutes for your arrival time. Respect speed limits, and remember a speed limit is what it states: a limit, not a target. Oh, and don’t forget no matter how long it takes you to get there in your truck, car or van, you’ll be there faster than your Grandma and Grandpa did in their old horse and cart!
