While I agree with a lot of what Danielle Belec had to say in her article in the September 13th edition of the Pontiac Journal, I would have published it after the Writ had been dropped on September 22  as a matter of optics.

take great commitment and devotion to this community as a whole in bringing us into the future. Rallying all of the troops together in moving forward will be extremely important.
The Pontiac is a beautiful place to live and play and we must strive to encourage people to do so while at the same time ensuring they remain here.  Good paying jobs are necessary in my opinion. At one time, there were a lot of these jobs here – the mills, the lumber business, the mines, etc. Whatever happened?
Tourism is a fantastic way to promote the Pontiac. We’re only an hour or so drive from Canada’s capital.
We have to elect a warden who has the vision for moving forward because things have been pretty slow. It will take a warden who has the will, the energy, the determination, the knowledge and experience to pull something like this off.
