We have no government representation

Regarding the September 11 article, “Liberals to select L’Écuyer’s replacement” as it relates to the same issue’s editorial pages about needing change in the Pontiac, our area really does not have representation, neither in the provincial nor the federal governments.

Both the Member of the National Assembly for Pontiac and the Member of Parliament for Pontiac do not represent only what is needed for the MRC of Pontiac. The majority of the people represented in the Pontiac riding are not in the MRC of Pontiac; they are located in the urban centres and in the Luskville sector (Municipality of Pontiac).
There is no sense in putting any of our hopes for a better future for “the Pontiac” in the MNA or the MP; we’re only considered as the leftovers in their Pontiac riding.
