We need both French and English

The Pontiac Journal is the perfect example of how Quebec, in order to
prosper, should be run. The paper demonstrates the perfect integration of the two languages in harmony with each other. A true, free and proud Quebec is capable of dealing with two languages.

I have lived in the Pontiac for over 40 years, but cannot speak French. This I deeply regret and apologize for not being able. Every French-speaking person I have ever dealt with has been so friendly and helpful. I love to hear the French
language because it is such a lovely sounding and pleasing one. I’m also extremely proud to say my grandson, granddaughter, and two daughters-in-law are all bilingual.
Do we need lots of French? Darn right we do. Do we need lots of English? Darn right we do. Do we want French and English side-by-side? Darn right we do. Do we want and need the Pontiac Journal, as is? You’re darn right we do. Do we want the language police? Hell no!
