Why no Québec flood inquiry?

It was interesting reading about our fate and in whose hands it lies in the article about Ontario’s flood inquiry and Québec’s refusal to conduct one in the December 18 edition. Supposedly it isn’t people mismanaging water control systems, oh no, there are perfect people operating these systems.

Supposedly it isn’t people mismanaging water control systems, oh no, there are perfect people operating these systems. Once again it’s nature’s fault or the unfavorable acts of Zeus and/or Neptune…entirely!
But what about the Québec side? Did the report creator, Mr. McNeil, investigate all of the Ottawa River’s tributaries and the control or non-control of these waters? For most of the Ottawa River, the river is split between Ontario and Québec except for a 250 km portion north of Lake Temiskaming.
The Québec government doesn’t seem to want to investigate the flooding. I wonder why? Maybe it’s because people on the Québec side of the river aren’t so perfect.
Zeus, get us out of this mess!
