TREY DUBEAU LANDS TOP PRIZE AT PARC LESLIE FISHING DERBY

Parc Leslie in Otter Lake hosted its annual fishing derby on Saturday, July 5. The morning started off beautifully as excited participants took to the lake. A total of 46 children and 14 adults registered to compete for the biggest fish, resulting in 21 successful catches.

Trey Dubeau won first place with a 54.5 cm trout. In the adult category, Trevor Murdock claimed top honours and generously donated his prize rod and lures to the children. Brock Dubeau took home the $50 door prize.

As part of the derby, Parc Leslie provided free worms and offered the use of their kayaks and canoes for the day. Twenty-five Youth Ministry fishing licences were also handed out, giving kids the opportunity to fish for free until age 18. – Crystal Dubeau
