SUPPER WITH A TWIST FUNDS TOWN HALL LIFT
On July 26, Portage-du-Fort Mayor Lynne Cameron, with help from family and friends, hosted a Secret Supper fundraiser to help purchase a chair lift for the Town Hall. The lift will provide seniors and people with mobility challenges access to the upstairs.
The evening featured a spaghetti supper with a twist: the menu was written in Latin. Guests chose 15 items divided into three courses, creating some unusual combinations. The meal also included Caesar salad, buns, and dessert, with wine and other beverages available at the bar.
“It was a fun evening—excellent food, music, and plenty of surprises and laughs. One for the books,” said Mayor Cameron. She added that Cathy Watson was the lucky winner of two free admissions to the next event. – Jamie Cameron
