FESTIVAL PROMOTES TREE PLANTING ACROSS PONTIAC – Residents gathered at the MRC Pontiac headquarters in Litchfield, May 29, for the annual Tree and Forests Festival, a community event celebrating Quebec’s Month of Trees and Forests.
The festival featured free tree distribution, a barbecue benefitting Bouffe Pontiac, and activities to promote environmental awareness and encourage tree planting.
The event, organized with support from Quebec’s Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry, highlighted the important role forests play in Pontiac’s communities and economy.
Trees were also available at participating municipal offices across the region. – Allyson Beauregard
