On Saturday, October 24, ghouls and goblins descended on Shawville’s Main Street for Trunk or Treat. Founded by former Shawville Shoes owner Jill McBane, the event ended when she sold the business. New organizer Selina Gervais explains, “I brought the idea of bringing Trunk or Treat back,” to Parents’ Voice Shawville, where she is Communications Director. “We worked hard to bring our local businesses together to make it happen this year.” Fourteen businesses joined: Shawville Shoes; Dollar Store; Hurstys; Theresa Vanderveldon Decor; RBC; Jolie Folie; Uniprix Pharmacy; Home Hardware; Shawville Municipality; Shawville-Clarendon Library; Brooklyn’s Place; Robin’s Roots; Café 349; and Studio Arcanum.
