MRC PONTIAC – Voters across the Pontiac went to the polls on November 2 to elect their municipal leaders. Incumbent MRC Pontiac warden Jane Toller was reelected, receiving 38% of the vote and securing a renewed mandate to lead the region. A total of 6,076 ballots were cast in the warden election, with voter turnout reaching 45% percent among 13,361 registered voters.
In the neighbouring MRC des Collines, incumbent warden Marc Carrière was acclaimed without opposition and will continue in the role.
In addition to the warden’s race, several municipalities held mayoral elections, while others saw candidates acclaimed.
