DISCO PARTY ON ICE

On Saturday afternoon, March 15, the ice surface at the Upper Pontiac Sports Complex in L’Isle-aux-Allumettes lit up with vibrant colours during a special two-hour public skating event. The free skate featured music and a dazzling light show, courtesy of DJs Effect Danse Mobile from Rockland, ON, creating an entertaining afternoon for kids of all ages.
Children, accompanied by adults, skated and danced to the beat of various tunes. Some kids teamed up with friends for group skates, while others glided solo. Volunteers at Café Wrangler kept busy serving hot food and beverages to the crowd.
The event was sponsored by the Chapeau and Waltham Recreation Associations and West Pontiac Connects. – Peter L. Smith
