A serious error was made in the February 28 article titled “13-yr-old Carter Gauthier saves heart attack victim’s life.” While Gauthier was recognized for doing everything he could to help in the situation, tragically, the victim did not survive. I would like to offer my deepest condolences and a sincere apology to the victim’s family. I misunderstood the story as it was presented to me, and in turn, I passed the wrong information on to the journalist writing the article. I am truly sorry for the additional heartache this error caused.
