MRC PONTIAC – Bouffe Pontiac will be distributing Christmas baskets to needy Pontiac families again this year from December 16 to 20.
“We’re currently in the registration period and are accepting all types of donations, whether it’s in cash, e-transfers […] or food,” said Kim Laroche, Bouffe Pontiac director.
“What’s new this year is that we’ll also have a point of service at Giant Tiger in Shawville where people can drop off food in a box to avoid travelling to Campbell’s Bay,” she continued.
The organization plans to distribute more than 280 baskets this year. “We ask families who wish to register to do so as soon as possible by calling our office at 819-648-2550,” explained Laroche, noting delivery will be available on December 19 for those without a vehicle in partnership with the Sûreté du Québec. “Places will be limited, and it’s mainly reserved for those who can’t travel,” she added.
