The Bryson Recreation Association (RA) introduced its first-ever “Introduction to Dance” program in the fall of 2022, targeting children aged 4 to 12. The 12-week program aimed to teach dance basics and provide a fun, relaxed atmosphere; with a turnout of nearly 30 kids, the program was a hit.
Before last Christmas, the young dancers showcased their progress in a recital for their parents, leaving everyone thrilled. The positive feedback led to requests for another session, so the RA offered a second 12-week program in spring 2023, which saw almost 40 participants.
On June 9, at the Forest Inn, the kids took to the stage to perform their dance routines. Led by Arielle Danis and Piper Kelly, both Bryson residents and high school students, the duo proved to be an excellent team. Arielle’s background in competitive dancing and Piper’s natural talent with young children made for a perfect match.
The Bryson RA has achieved remarkable success with its “Introduction to Dance” program. This program has not only fostered a love for dance but also brought joy to the dancers’ families.
