CAMPBELL’S BAY – The Campbell’s Bay/ Litchfield Fire Department (CBLFD) hosted a banquet to honour their members’ dedication and service to the community, May 6 at the RA Hall. Family, friends and supporters of the department attended to celebrate the hard work, dedication, and bravery of the CBLFD and to highlight the important role they play in the community as well as their selflessness in serving and protecting residents.
The highlight of the evening was the recognition of the department’s long-serving firefighters. Among the honourees were Scott Laporte, Scott Tubman, and Cory Dubeau who were recognized for 10 years of service; Gerry Graveline for 20 years; Denis Dubeau for 30 years; Pat Shea for 35 years; and Kevin Kluke with 40 years.
In addition to the long-serving firefighters, the banquet also recognized the Junior Firefighter of the Year, an award given in honour of deceased members Todd Vibert Jr., Keith Racine, and Maurice Beauregard. Christopher Romain was given the award in recognition of his outstanding performance and commitment to the department.
