A response to Jane Toller’s letter: Pontiac needs an indoor pool! Oct. 4, 2023
I’m an elderly person with a sore back and my doctor has recommended swimming. Because there is nowhere close enough in Quebec, I would have to go to Ontario. It’s hard for me to get to Pembroke because I don’t drive. Many people in our municipalities are elderly. Young or old, we all have back problems. A pool is one of many health necessities. I’m sure every person in the Pontiac would use the aquatic centre for one reason or another. Today even babies can be required to use the pool. So do the right thing and let us have a pool!
