A flutter of excitement took over Front Street in Campbell’s Bay, April 19, as the Pontiac Lions Club hosted its annual duck race — a crowd favorite and one of the Club’s biggest fundraising events of the year. Families flocked to the bridge over McLennan Creek, where the festivities kicked off with a community BBQ and children’s Easter egg hunt. About 500 rubber ducks were then released, with three ticket holders winning prizes: Micheline Carol ($500), Jessica Neilson ($200), and Pat Mahoney ($100). Proceeds from the event will go toward local initiatives supported by the Pontiac Lions Club.
