NORWAY BAY TRIATHLON
A total of 80 participants ranging from 7 to 55 years in age took part in the triathlon in Norway Bay, July 28. Pictured above are the winners in the girls 6–10-year-old class; in first place was Rylie Einarson (10) with Charlotte Bastien (7) in second place. It was Rylie’s second year of triathlon and the first year for Charlotte. The event consisted of a 320 m swim, 9 km cycle, and a 2.5 km run.
The triathlon is just one of a number of summer weekend competitions run by the Norway Bay Municipal Association (NBMA) for its members. The NBMA also runs a full slate of recreational classes for six weeks starting at the beginning of July.
