Pontiac council announces over $1.4 million in spending

MUNICIPALITY OF PONTIAC – Four citizens attended the municipality’s regular meeting, March 11 at the Luskville Town Hall.
A number of expenditures were announced totalling over $1.4 million: borrowing bylaw 03-25 to repave Braun Road – $505,000; borrowing bylaw 04-25 to buy equipment for public works – $750,000; solar shades for the Quyon Community Center – $3,500; a dog fence for Luskville Park – $12,000; a bid on a mobile office – $16,000, a used sander – $6,000; two used compactors – $50,000; Festival Country 2025 edition – $45,000; and FoodCycler composters – $36,000.
Urban planning
By-laws 10-24 to 14-24 were adopted to update previous by-laws on zoning, construction, urban planning, subdivisions, administration and interpretation to make them uniform across the entire MRC-des-Collines.
A new road located on lot 6 616 460 has been officially named Impasse Hynes. The name was proposed by the developer and approved by the municipality and the Québec Geographical Names Board.
